Pukekohe AFC is a long-standing football club in the Franklin community, operating since 1960, and enjoys a membership of nearly 900 active players, ranging from First Kicks and Fun Football to the more competitive and newly-formed Franklin United.
Our aim is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment that encourages all participants to reach their full footballing potential in all age groups. We run a competitive winter league where adults, youth and children are placed in teams to play, and in the 8 weeks prior to Christmas we also run a 5-a-side league, where anyone can enter a team with their friends and have fun.
Pukekohe AFC now enjoys new facilities with the completion of the Bledisloe Park Sports Centre in September 2016. It is a practical and highly functional building that overlooks the main playing fields. Learn more about the clubrooms »
Auckland Council plan to upgrade the Bledisloe Park grounds in 2018 – the football fields will be realigned to produce maximum viewing from the new Bledisloe Park Sports Centre balcony.
Pukekohe AFC is proud to offer a one-club environment, unlike the majority of football clubs where the juniors and seniors are split. We believe it is a major strength that our First Kicks, Fun Football, Juniors, Youth and Seniors are all included under one banner, offering players a streamlined pathway from Juniors through to Seniors and beyond.
Pukekohe AFC caters for footballers of all ages and abilities, and aims to better their footballing confidence and skills. Members have access to Coerver Coaching, and skill-specific training sessions during the season (like goalkeeper training). We also offer school holiday programmes and a Summer 5-aside competition, which are both open to the community. Talented footballers are scouted by the Federation Talent Centre (FTC) for further development and our affiliation with Franklin United provides our elite players with a pathway to the top.
