Club Based Referee Course
6 May 2019
Drury FC will be holding a Club Based Referee (CBR) course at Drury clubrooms, open to members of Drury UFC and other local AFF clubs.
We would like to invite Pukekohe AFC parents/older youth players to attend.
Pukekohe AFC subsidises the full cost of the course (normally $95) for our members & supporters but in return, we expect them to put what they learn to use and referee games through the season.
We encourage our older Youth players aged 15+ to become CBRs and referee the Junior 9th-12th Grade games.
Current CBRs need to complete a refresher course every 2 years – this is FREE for them. They need to register & attend both nights, but finish early on the 2nd night as
they don’t need to sit the test. They do not receive a new shirt but do get an updated CBR card.
WHAT: Club Based Referee Course. Includes course material for everyone, and whistle, referee shirt & card for those who complete the course & pass the very easy test at the end.
WHERE: Drury FC Clubrooms (Victoria St, Drury by the motorway)
WHEN: Monday 20th & Monday 27th May, 7pm-9pm (both nights must be attended).
COST: Pukekohe members (subsidised by PAFC)
Non-Pukekohe members $95
Refresher CBRs Free
RSVP: before Monday 13th May to Vicki firstname.lastname@example.org
Hundreds of mums, dads and coaches each week grab a whistle, not because of a long-standing desire to be the best referee in the world, but simply because their kid’s game will be more enjoyable and safer if a few simple rules are followed.
Just 2 sessions of 2 hours each, with a short exam on the 2nd night, then you are entitled to referee any Federation match for home games, and at an opposition club if the other team doesn’t have their own CBR. You will receive a certificate from New Zealand Football and an official CBR referee shirt from Auckland Football to wear when refereeing.
