Upcoming season
 
It is once again time to start thinking about the upcoming football season. The playing season starts in early April for 2010, however we need to get players registered, teams together and coaches organised over the next few weeks to ensure we are ready to kick-off on time.
 
Grades 6-9 will continue to play in an inhouse competition after a successful initial season last year.
 

Register by mail and be in to win!
To save you having to attend registration days, we would like to encourage current members to re-register for 2010 by mail.

As added incentive, those that register by mail will go in the draw for a $50 Warehouse voucher. Registration forms must be completed and received by post, fax or at clubrooms, by 21 February 2010 to be eligible to win. Fee payment must also be received to be included in the draw.
 
 
How to register
If your child played last season you should receive re-registration details in the mail mid-January.   If your child/ren will be playing in the upcoming season, please complete the registration form and either:
 
  • Post to Pukekohe AFC, PO Box 629, Pukekohe (with payment)
  • Fax to 09 238 9648 (fees paid by internet banking)
  • Attend one of our registrations days at the clubrooms:
    • Saturday 23 January 2010 – 9.00am -12.00noon
    • Wednesday 17 February 2010 – 5.30pm – 8.00pm
    • Sunday 21 February 2010 – 10.00am – 2.00pm
  • Drop into drop-box through slot on front door of clubrooms
Again, payment must be enclosed with registration form.
 
Players registering for the first time will need to register at the clubrooms at one of the above registration days and will need to bring proof of age, such as birth certificate or passport.
 
If registering at clubrooms, Eftpos will be available. 
 
Should you have any unreturned Pukekohe AFC uniform we would appreciate this being returned on these days also, whether you intend to play again this season or not. 
 
 
Membership Fees
Membership fees are based on the following: Midget (5th-6th Grade) $45 • Junior (7th-10th Grade) $70 •
Youth (11th Grade +) $90. 
 
Grade is based on child’s age at end of current year (ie. 31 Dec 2010).
 
Preferred method of payment is directly into our bank account via internet banking (please use surname and Pukekohe AFC ID number/s as reference to appear on our bank statement).

Late Registrations
We must have all completed registration forms together with payment of fees, returned by Sunday 20th February so that we can organise teams and grading.
 
Every effort will be made to accommodate players registered after this date however; we cannot guarantee spaces will be available.
 

 
Registration Packs
A registration pack will be given to each player upon registration (or posted for mail registrations) which will include a calendar of events detailing important dates throughout the season, grading details for youth players, sponsors material etc and other useful information for players.
 
 
Purchasing of gear
Negotiations are currently underway with our preferred supplier regarding club teamwear, including playing shorts and socks. We will have this finalised prior to registration and intend to include details in the Registration Packs. Please keep an eye on this website, for further information regarding gear, and other club news.
 
 
Sponsorship
We are seeking sponsors for the 2010 season.  Click here for advertising packages for the smaller sponsorship budget.   If you are interested in becoming a sponsor (or know someone with a business that may be) please do not hesitate to contact us. Information regarding packages for the bigger budget will be finalised and on our website over the next few weeks.
  
 
Coaches & managers wanted
If you are available for coaching or managing a team this year please let us know.
 
For 2010 we intend introducing a pre-defined coaching system that has been structured for all age grades. As part of this model, achievement targets and skill-based drill documentation will be provided, along with practical application by way of compulsory coaching for coaches courses for all coaches (dates to be advised).
 
We always require additional volunteers for events, fundraising etc so if you are interested in helping out in any way, or know someone who is, we would be grateful if you could indicate this also.
