The Lions were back on Bledisloe Park, pitch three, looking weather hardened as the rain lashed down…....again.

The rain stopped in time for kick off and the Tigers roared from the start with a goal within minutes. The Tigers had no reserves but even if they had none of the players would have wanted to come off. This was a game where everything that coach Peter Sutcliffe has worked on in training came together. Players moved in to space, slick passes were played through and everyone showed dogged determination to run to the very end. Defenders hustled, covered and hustled some more. Passes from the back set up sweeping movements with players calling and moving like seasoned veterans, and there was dynamite finishing in front of goal.  In short this was a great performance. Peter summed it up at half time when he asked the team "what can I tell you to improve your game? Nothing - just keep doing what you are doing, the football is great!"

The Red Devilz travelled to Papakura to face the ninth grade Papakura McAttack in a top of the table clash. Two unbeaten teams with a bit of history between them - click through to re-live the excitement with us.

The Red Devilz travelled to Drury to meet the Sharks for a lunch-time tussle. Coming off a midweek defeat against the aggressive Tuakau Panthers, the Devilz were out to redeem themselves against yet another predator. The Lions had a mid morning meeting with the Hawks and found themselves in an unusual position, less than five minutes into the game. Click on the head-line to find out how both teams fared.

The Pukekohe 9^th Grade Red Devilz hosted the Maraetai Dragons in picture perfect conditions, the spectacle which unfolded was befitting and the large crowd was raucous, in a nice, exuberant way.
