Here are my thoughts on how it should go:
For the knock out I suggest the First Round be fixtures made up of the league winner v bottom, second v second bottom, etc.
All the winners of Firs...

Sunday morning I upgraded the web editors the news writers and website admin use to add content to the website. This had to be done because we found the new Windows Internet Explorer 9 browser had issues with the old editor.
Unfortunately the upgrade did not go as smoothly as planned and left the website down for the best part of an hour. ...

It is once again time to start thinking about the upcoming football season. The playing season starts on 2nd April for most players. However we need to get players registered, teams together, and coaches organised over the next few weeks to ensure we are ready to kick-off on time.

Before we talk about the football itself, well done Waiuku for organising the weather, the fields, the beer, chips and hospitality to make another memorable family day to start another season.
Hopefully Tom, Steve or Dave will supply the official write up for the First team's 2 nil loss to the blues, but from what I saw the match was decided by two judgement calls and two typical strikes from the master predator himself. The "No surrender", all football attitude of the 10 man Pukekohe team will stand them in good stead for the season, but they must learn how to win too.
Well done to the Ladies First and Reserves, the Mens Reserves and Third team for helping the club to a 5 - 1 game victory to retain the Finlayson Derby Day Cup. As for the Over 35's, I'll do my best with a write up, but don't expect a Du Maurier classic. I am not worthy...

Willy put it well talking about Lee as an all round good chap and family guy.
I could tell you more about his qualities as a player having witnessed him score classics like his third at Bay Olympic this year (see here for story and video) and the rediculous with his ar$e against Tuakau a couple of years ago.
I could also mention his crossing having personally benefitted countless times from Lee's supply of quality ball over the years.
His website write ups aren't bad either reminding me of a young Charles Dickens writing in the Snug of the Queens Head pub on a stormy Skegness afternoon in 1972.
But what I want to remind everybody of here and now, before he buggers off, is that...
