The Banjo Strummers were crowned champions of the Pukekohe AFC Trivia Night held at the clubrooms on Saturday night.

The Banjo Strummers, featuring Kirstin Davey, Kelly Wisnewski, Lana Morris, Jeff Dodd and Mandy Green took out the first prize of $150 ahead of the Addams Family and The Fans.

The Auckland Football Federation under-12 side, including Pukekohe AFC 12th grader Hannah Kraakman, were beaten 2-0 by Fiji's Ba in the final of the Oceania Football Confederation Youth Festival in Noumea on Saturday.

The team, coached by Scott Mackay and Rowan Adams, reached halftime at 0-0 but the Fijian side scored soon after the re-start and added the second with the last kick of the game.

Hannah's team has reached the final of the tournament in Noumea which is on Saturday at 5pm v Ba (Fiji).

The match will be played in front of 22,000 spectators as the curtain raiser for the Christian Karembeu Jubilee match which includes players such as Zinedine Zidane and Robert Pires.
