The women's first team were beaten 3-0 by Bay Olympic in their AFF Division 1 match at Crum Park on Sunday.
The Maroons were second best on the day with the Bay Olympic effort headed by energy and committment of former Pukekohe AFC player Gaylene Woolley.
The 15 minute spell after halftime was the Maroons' best period of the match but when the visitors couldn't cut into the home side's two-goal lead in that time, the result was put beyond doubt as Olympic added a third goal with 20 minutes to go.
Player of the day went to second half teenage substitute Hannah Kraakman for some neat work in possession at right midfield after entering the game.
Pukekohe's next match is also against Bay Olympic, at Bledisloe Park, on Sunday at 11am.
Details:
Bay Olympic 3-0 Pukekohe AFC (half: 2-0)
