The women's first team grabbed their first win of the year with a stylish 4-1 victory over Papakura City FC at a wet McLennan Park on Sunday.
Despite the soggy conditions, the Maroon girls kept possession well and moved the ball around the field and the goals came as a result of that good lead-up work.
Rose Kraakman opened her account for the 2009 season with a brace while Nicky Birch and Hayley Smith each added another to the goals they scored in last weekend's loss to Eastern Suburbs.
Pukekohe were 1-0 up inside the opening five minutes when Nicky tapped in from five yards after a flowing movement down the right flank.
Rose grabbed the next two either side of halftime as good reward for another non-stop effort leading the line up front.
The fourth came after Sarah Holmes released Nicky wide on the right who crossed early into the box where Hayley slotted home with her left foot to cap a tremendous player of day effort in her second game for the club.
The next game for the girls is against Fencibles Utd AFC at Bledisloe Park on Sunday at 11am.
