This poem was sent to me by a quiet young lad who's name will remain Jim McCormack. I guess this is a good place to put it.

SATURDAY 28TH OF MARCH IS NOT THAT FAR AWAY
WE MEET UP WITH OUR FOE THE BLUES
FOR THE BEAUTIFUL GAME WE PLAY
THEY WILL TURN UP COCKY , LOOKING FLASH
BUT THEY'LL GET THE MESSAGE SOON
THEY ARE IN A CONTEST THEY JUST CAN'T WIN
UP AGAINST THE MIGHTY MAROONS

Best of luck to everyone on Saturday. I will be there supporting the Reserves and everyone else (someone has to tell the truth in the staff room at Valley School on Monday morning - can't rely on Tony, or Leanne come to think of it!)
This will be a big day for the young guys stepping out of youth football but with the wise heads around them I'm sure they will give better than they get.
I hope the referees make it clear to Waiuku that Mr Wisnewski and Mrs Dodd are not allowed to be injured - we can't afford the relieving teachers!

Aye...the ribbons are maroon again. Well done to all. Commiserations to the 1st team and the valiant effort they put in.

Another season and another "glut" of goals for the Daveymeister and a brace for the Harveymeister.....that would have paid better odds than the Toon and the Boro staying up.
