There were so many things that lead up to this game against Clendon, that I should have seen and realised that It was going to a bad day.

1. Couldnt find the park on any map, web site or star chart.

2. Sharon McGinty and Angela De Maurier were out.

3. Odessia Neilands was MIA

4. Didnt think ,or, know that Clendon wear the same colours

5. The Hurricanes lost.

6. I burnt the bacon and eggs for breakfast

7. The team card and my team files were in my office in Ellerslie

8. And no changing rooms at the park

Apart from that all was well.

After a quick chat and organising positions we were all go, and kicked off on time and in great conditions at Lauire Gibbons park. Clendon scored first, and second and third and fourth and fifth then it was our turn, a beautiful goal that remined me of a crisp mountain stream with the scent of wild flowers and birds singing there soothing songs while Racheal Hunter massage's my neck and shoulders, and then bloody Clendon got a sixth goal.

Half time could not have come soon enough.

"Right ladies.....5 defenders 3 in the Mids and 2 up front....Debbie Pascoe stay on number 4 so tight that she will have trouble breathing....Work together and help each other...@#!^ ^#@!  *#^@!* or something like that.

In the second half the Iron Maidens showed that were made of better stuff than the first half showed, Debbie Pascoe copped a ball to the face which was kindly returned in the second half, Heather Morgan put a shoulder into a player that sent her flying ,it reminded me of Paul Radish putting TKR's ford  into the wall at Bathurst, Tracey Mason was so detrmined in goal that she is now wearing a 3 stripes up her arm that look identical to a Nike sprig pattern.NOW THATS FOOTBALL.

The second half was one of the best defencive games the Iron Maidens have played.

Debbie Pascoe was our player of the day she had a blinder and our goal scorer was Katrina Cousins. Megan Cain also is worthy of a mention shes getting better each game.

Neroli Gowdy had her first game for the Maidens so welcome to our team, you did well.

Dont forget training on Wednesday ladies, if you cant be there you have to let know we have some work to do. Txt me if you want to train tomorrow if there is enough we will do something. 021 428 479.
