Pukekohe Association Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of our 1st Team Senior Men’s coach and manager for the 2008 season. The successful applicants are David Wright (Coach) and Steven Cox (Manager).
This duo combined last season and mentored the senior men’s 3rd team. The successful season concluded with the team winning both the League and the division Knockout competition.
David has played at the highest club level possible. During this time he played for Mt Maunganui while the team was involved in the National League. He has over the years been successful coaching at junior /youth and senior levels. This includes coaching junior and youth premier teams.
Steven Cox has been involved with the club for the last 5 years. He is an active member of the executive committee. Prior to David’s arrival Steve had been player/coach and manager of the men’s 3rd team for a couple of seasons.
The first official senior men’s training session is scheduled for Thursday 24th January 2008. Training will start at 6.30pm. (Note: This is not the arrival time, please be changed and ready to go at 6.30pm) Please ensure that you always bring running shoes and boots to all training sessions. All welcome.
Further coaching/manager appointment notices will be posted on the Web. They will include: Women’s 1st Team, Women’s Reserve Team and Women’s 3rd Team, the Men’s Reserve Team, Men’s 3rd Team and Men’s O’35 Team. Details will be finalised over the next 2 – 3 days.
