As the over 35's season draws to a close, we return to the Bledisloe cauldron for our league cup final after a semi-final away at Beachlands which can only be described as a to and fro game ( for 110 mins we tood and they frowed in the towel after our 2nd goal).

Standout and player of the day Richie kept everbody on their toes with a deft touch of control and pass while Andy and Davey terrorised the defence both on attack and defence with Andy netting twice in extra time.

Steve fabs was rock solid in midfield but once again finished the game with 15 near misses in front of goal.

With the back four being anchored by Dolly and TD I would say we are looking good to complete the double.

If you wish to attend the final this week contact Greg Twiss for tickets as seats will be limited.

I was at the airport earlier today and when an airline official noticed my Puke shirt he asked who Greg Twiss was and how do they get in touch to buy tickets as they have had a lot of interest from over sea's ?

So once we pay the ref we could be in for a match fee of around $0.11 each

T.B.A = Fencibles. I hope Dollys not in goal again. That octogenarian might trip over his zimmer frame when he tries to run around the field with his shirt over head if he scores again.

Yeah, it's a shame that last goal we conceded was scored by Stanley Matthews' grandfather! Apparently his poor old eyes were so dim that he didn't know he'd scored till somebody told him and led him back to halfway line.
