The women's first team recovered from an 0-1 deficit to grab a point against Ellerslie AFC at Michaels Avenue Reserve on Sunday.
After conceding a very sloppy opening goal that dribbled across the goaline in the opening minutes of the game, the Maroons eventually got on top and created a host of chances to win the game but could convert only one - a neat one-on-one finish by teenager Autumn Morgan - her first goal for the senior women's first team.
Player of the day went to both Autumn and Lucie Morgan, the sister act responsible for helping turn the momentum in Pukekohe's favour after coming off the bench.
Pukekohe's next outing is against Western Springs AFC at Bledisloe Park on Sunday. Kickoff 11am.
Pukekohe AFC 1-1 Ellerslie (half: 0-1)
PUK: Autumn Morgan
Pukekohe AFC: Laura Johnstone, Donna Withers, Tania Shaw (Autumn Morgan 38'), Sarah Smith, Amelia Woulfe (Lucie Morgan 60'), Nicole Kraakman (Jasmine Stewart 60'), Hayley Smith, Sarah Holmes (capt), Hannah Kraakman, Olivia Willetts, Rose Kraakman.
