Some decisions are easy, some are difficult. The one that our family made 3 weeks ago was the most difficult we may ever take.
Anna and I have lived in many places.....Tooting, East Coker, Milnrow, Papanui to name but a few....none of them come remotely close to the fantastic community that is Pukekohe.
From day dot everybody has made us feel so welcome (without being claustrophobic).....we have met characters that will live long in the memory and made friendships that will truly last a lifetime.
To thank individual people would be fruitless...because there has been so much support, I would neglect to mention someone and that wouldn't be fair.
Our family truly appreciates the kind words that have been posted already and those which were spoken on Saturday at the "farewell Andy Davey benefit".....(yet another hat trick!)
Thomas, Holly and Robson have had a fantastic grounding in the beautiful game at this great club and Anna completed a full season with a fabulous bunch of ladies and support crew.
Me.....well I've pretty much wrote and said what I feel about all things Bledisloe.
It's the best town, in the best country in the world....throw in the best game and the best people and life don't get much better........that's what made the decision so difficult to take up a position in the capital.
If you're ever down in the Wellington region, please get in touch and come see us.
We'd love to see you.....as Jimmy said "Forever Maroon"
