The women's first team recorded their third win from their last three games when they took a 3-2 win over Manurewa AFC at Bledlisoe Park on Sunday.
After falling behind early in the first half, the Maroons fought back and scored three goals unanswered through Nicola Birch, Rose Kraakman and Laura Johnstone to secure the points and move to third on the division 1 table.
Manurewa pulled one back late on but the Pukekohe side closed out the game well to take a well-deserved victory after also taking wins against Papakura and Fencibles in previous weeks.
Nikki levelled for the home side after Laura had beaten her marker and delivered into the six yard box where all Nikki had to do was direct the ball into the net.
Rose gave the Maroons the lead soon after with a strong run into the box on the left and a powerful driven finish.
Pukekohe could have been even further ahead at the break but Leanne Dodd's rasping drive from the edge of the box flew inches past the right-hand upright.
Laura gave the side a two-goal cushion with her spot kick mid-way through the second spell after Nikki was brought down when baring in on goal.
Renee Ezekiela, making her debut for the team between the sticks, and Rose were impressive but player of the day honours went again to Leanne as the driving force and starting point of a lot of Pukekohe's forward movement.
Thanks to all the supporters who came down to cheer the girls on. Their next game is at Bledisloe Park on Saturday against Three Kings United who sit in fourth spot.
