Thirds win again and are ready to rumble

In the final hit out before the start of the season the Puke men’s 3rd team maintained their unbeaten pre-season record with an impressive 4 – 1 victory over South Auckland Rangers. In a much changed line up from the 1-1 draw at Tuakau, John Waller, Neil K, Jethro and even George managed to find the back of the net.

The game had started with Puke dominating both territory and procession only to give away a goal on the break. However, being behind does not seem to be a problem to this team as it has happened in all 3 games, which have ultimately resulted in 2 wins and a draw.

For the record the results are as follows;

V Waiuku won 6 -3, Nick Rowe 2, Andy Evans 2, Matty, Paul

V Tuakau drew 1 – 1 Nick Rowe

V South Auckland Rangers won 4 – 1 George, Jethro, Neil K, John

We just need to take this form into the first league game away at Manurewa next Saturday, KO at 2.45pm all support welcomed.

Anybody that wishes to have a run out with the 3rd/4th teams please feel free to come along on a Thursday evening at 6.30pm, or if you know of somebody they are most welcome.
