The men's first team were forced to take a 3-3 draw from their Saturday match-up with Fencibles while their women's counterparts cruised to an 8-0 victory over Three Kings on Sunday.
The Super Division men's team, who entered the match a point behind their opponents in sixth place in the standings, looked on course for a win after taking a 2-0 lead through an own goal and a Simon Andruchow effort.
However, the visitors got back into the match before the break and when the half time whistle went the scores were again locked at 2-2.
Andy Davey restored the home side's advantage 15 minutes into the second spell before a defensive lapse proved costly as the visitors forced in an equalizer before the Maroons could clear the danger.
Sam Price-Bates was unlucky not to have added to the Maroon scoreline in the second half, the young Englishman twice hitting the crossbar in the second spell.
The result keeps the side in sixth place, 13 points adrift of league-leaders Waiheke United ahead of next Saturday's trip to Lynn Avon.
Meanwhile, the ladies' first team got back to winning ways on Sunday after having their perfect eight-match run ended last Monday.
Despite the horrible conditions the ladies played some attractive football and created a raft of scoring chances with some crisp passing and movement off the ball.
Rose Kraakman was the main benificiary of the slick lead-up work as the speedy striker bagged four of her side's eight goals - the pick of which was her second half take, turn and finish from 14 yards.
Nicola Birch (2), Sarah Holmes and a penalty from skipper Leanne Dodd completed the scoring for the Maroon ladies while Kelsey Macdonald took player of the day honours with a quality outing at left back.
The emphatic win keeps the ladies level at the top of the division two standings with Fencibles leading on goal difference.
The women's next outing is their first round national women's Knockout Cup clash with five-time defending champions Lynn Avon at Bledisloe Park on Sunday.
