Fundraising

Hi All,

As part of the Pukekohe AFC's committment to keeping yearly subscriptions to a minimum, we carry out a number of fundraising events, which we continually struggle to get members help for.

On the 12/11/11 and the 11/12/11, we have a fundraising comittment to Auckland Motor Cycle Cub ( AMCC). For their events a Pukekohe Park Raceway, we put out their crash bags on certain corners. These number to the best part of 1000 bags- they are not heavy just plentiful.

We need 12 to 20 people for the Saturday afternoon and the Sunday afternoon and it doesn't need to be the same people for both. It is about 90 mins work if we have the numbers.

If we could come up with a roster so that we are spreading the load that is even better.

The result of not getting enough people to help with these sorts of events, is that we may need to put into place an increase in fees. We do not get enough income from fees to run a club of 950 to 1000 members and it is fundraising that helps to cover the short fall.

If you could send an email to carpenterquad@xtra.co.nz, to show your availability and numbers, I need to know by Thursday, so if I need to panic I can.

If your excuse for not helping is that you never hear of these events going on, NOW is YOUR chance to get involved.
