Pukekohe moving towards the Whole of Football Plan(WOFP)
After much discussion over the implementation of NZ Footballs Whole Of Football Plan, PAFC has decided to change the In-House structure for the 2011 season.
PAFC have been identified as presently the only club in AFF with the potential to pilot all of the Junior framework, which would see PAFC leading the way towards the national roll out of the WOFB plan in 2012.
Major changes:all players will be given the same quality of training by rotating through training grids following a defined age appropriate training path. All players will have more game time, more touches of the ball, more decisions to make. There will no subs waiting on the sideline to play.
MEETINGS
AFF & PAFC are holding an information meeting on 5.30pm Wednesday 6th April 2011 at PAFC. All interested parents, team organisers /coachs, potential grid overseers, are asked to attend. AFF Football Development Officer James Vaughan will present further information.
A Club Co-ordinator meeting will be held on Thursday 7th April 2011 at 6.30pm at Oceania Football Confederation Building Mt Smart Stadium ( Maurice Road Entrance)
HOW IT SHAPES UP

Saturday Game-Day: Players will train in a station rotation (grid formation) 3 x 8-10 minute station activities, then split into 4 v 4 games. There will be 3 x 10 min games.
Game-Day activity stations will be managed by Game-leaders (activity leaders) who will take 1 game each, with an Co-ordinator (overseer) helping out at each station (grid). Game leaders can be team organisers, parents, high school students etc.
Training session structure will be explained closer to start date.

((The revised phrases and terminology have come from The National Player Development Framework which is available for all to view at the www.nzfootball.co.nz
Pukekohe are in in the unique position to Pilot Mini-Football (9-10 yrs) see pages 30-31 of the National Player Development Framework on game-day. This may be developed later in the season. This involves
· 10 minutes of station activity (Football Co-ordination or Football Technique) as a Warm Up
· 25 minute Game 7 vs 7
· 5 minute rest / recovery / change over
· 25 minute Game 7 vs 7 (this can be the same two teams playing each other twice)
Training involves the same components but is traditional team training led by one coach per team.
Games will be Saturdays at either 10:00am or 11:00am, on fields at Bledisloe Park.
We apologise for the delay in getting information to you, the committee has had to go through a detailed process with AFF and sign contracts with NZF.
However we strongly believe implementation of the Whole Of Football Plan will benefit all our junior players development in the long term.
