Pukekohe Association Football Club Inc. is proud to announce an upcoming milestone event celebrating the club’s 50th Anniversary. As mentioned in the excerpt above, taken from minutes of the inaugural meeting held on the 23rd February 1960, 2010 marks the 50th Anniversary of the club in its current form. A reunion celebration is planned for Labour weekend, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th October.
With our base firmly fixed at Bledisloe Park, Pukekohe we currently boast a total membership of approx 912. Over the last few years the club has experienced tremendous membership growth that currently is reflected in the fact we use 26 fields and have over 80 teams playing every weekend.
Currently we are looking for people to assist on the Anniversary Reunion Committee. This committee will be responsible for all aspects of the event but will remain a sub committee of Pukekohe AFC Executive to which they will report. If you are interested in joining this team, please click on the following email link – 50thReunion@pukekoheafc.com. Please provide us with as much detail as you can about yourself.
We are looking for feedback from any past and present members that would be interested in attending part or all activities set out over the weekend. A possible format for the weekend could be: Mix and mingle on the Friday night, demonstration games highlighting midgets, junior, youth and both senior women and men’s football on Saturday. Match of the day between past and present players. A formal dinner to complete the Saturday celebrations. Sunday morning brunch, get together and farewell. The activities have yet to be defined as the format will be one of the initial tasks set by the Anniversary Reunion Committee.
To register your interest, please complete the reunion registration form.
Please provide us with your contact details so we can add you to the Reunion mailing list. An indication of when you played, coached or were involved with the club and the names of two or three other people that were here during that time would be of great help.
We look forward to your contact and reply.
Thank you
Kind regards
